This is a collection of 50 plus portraits of the men and women of World War Two by guest artist-in-residence Chris Demarest. Mr. Demarest is an author and illustrator of over 100 titles as well as an official artist for the Coast Guard. He had documented Coast Guard operations from the Persian Gulf to Hurricane Katrina. Many of his drawings and paintings are in the Coast Guard\’s permanent art collection in Washington, DC. For the months of December through April, Mr. Demarest will be setting up his paints and easel in the Museum where he\’ll be painting and hanging portraits honoring the \”greatest generation.\” www.chrisdemarest.net
