During World War II over 5,000 major and minor leaguers left the game they loved to serve the country they loved even more. Military Historian, author, and former member of the National World War II Museum’s Board of Trustees Todd Anton will present the gripping accounts of players we thought we knew and never really did!
Anton is the author of “When Baseball Went to War,” “No Greater Love: Life Stories from the Men Who Saved Baseball,” and “When Football Went to War.” Anton’s accounts have been sought after by the Department of the US Navy, ESPN, Yahoo! Sports, and both the LA Dodgers and LA Angels. Fox News “War Stories with Oliver North” did an entire show on baseball at war. The National World War II Museum partnered with Anton, then a Board Member, to host the acclaimed exhibit “When Baseball Went to War.”
