The Petaluma International Military Research Center was founded in 2012 by Will Twomey and as of April 2015, became an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The organization\’s mission is to preserve and share both artifacts from our nation\’s veterans as well as the stories behind them. The collection highlights nearly all major conflicts of the 20th century and a wide array of branches, ranks and theaters of battle. In the years the research center has been in existence, it has acquired items from influential veterans such as General Colin Powell, Vice Admiral James Stockdale, Brigadier General Joe Foss, two time Oscar winning director Lou Stoumen and numerous others.
Our exhibit at the Palm Springs Air Museum will include artifacts from all of the above veterans as well as others from Medal of Honor recipients and Generals to the longest serving veteran and household names. It will take place between the 28th of March and the 9th of April. For the most part of each day, Will Twomey will be with the exhibit to discuss the many stories and people it represents.
