A Purple Mustang? The Story of N64CL by Vicky Benzing

Built in 1944, shortly before the end of WWII, Vicky Benzing’s beautiful purple P-51 Mustang “Plum Crazy” has a rich history. Vicky will tell the stories of this famous airplane’s early years, including its history as an air racer flown by Clay Lacy.  Benzing will cover the detailed restoration under the careful guidance of Steve Hinton, Jr. at Fighter Rebuilders, along with her future plans for the airplane.
