For 13 days in October of 1962 the world was perhaps the closest to nuclear war than at any other point in history. John Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev stood toe to toe waiting to see who would blink first. Now 50 plus years later with the cold war over, we take a look back at those events through the eyes of those who waited on the front lines to see what would happen next.
