Nicknamed the “Bloody 100th”, this WWII bomb group, proud member of the 8th Air Force, suffered tremendously high losses at the hands of those defending the Nazi occupied continent of Europe during the war. Every year the surviving members gather here at the Air Museum to share their experiences and pass along their memories of flack- filled skies and the rumbling sounds of B-17s in flight. The public is invited to come hear their stories and thank them for their Service. This year’s featured speaker will be Mr. Greg Stathatos of B-17 Archaeology. Mr. Stathatos will discuss his ongoing project to gather the histories of as many WWII Service men and women as possible with a special emphasis on the unique stories of specific B-17 ground and flight crews.
