A 2,500 square foot multi-purpose classroom, the Ronald M Auen Learning Center will serve as the heart of the expanded education programs. This expansion reinforces the Palm Springs Air Museum’s dedication to keeping Education at the Core of our Mission to educate our youth about the sacrifices made by our veterans on their behalf. We do this at the same time as we honor our veterans.
A reimagined entrance boasts additional square feet of improved foot traffic flow and expanded amenities for guests. Our bold and iconic exterior provides plazas and a breezeway entrance to welcome visitors and inspire future generations.

Youth tour groups are guided through the museum on an exciting journey through the history, science, and technology of aviation, illustrated by our varied aircraft and the stirring stories of the people that flew them. Highlights include a Science class on the principles of flight and navigation, the Berger Youth Exploration Center with fun, interactive activities for young people, the F-16 Flight Simulator, and the Gen. Ken Miles Aviation Science Center.
Children and young adults are introduced to our volunteer docents. Many of our volunteer docents are veterans willing to share their experiences and sacrifices for the education of future generations.
Individuals aged 12-17 with a desire to become pilots and get involved in an aviation career start their path here.
