Welcome to Warbird Wednesday! This week, we are going way back to the very beginning with the 1903 Wright Flyer. This was the first plane to achieve heavier-than-air powered flight by the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, and was not only the breakthrough first flight of an airplane, but it also established the foundation of aeronautical engineering.
