Dear PSAM supporters

As many of you know, the Palm Springs Air Museum has been closed since Wednesday, March 18th due to the impact of Covid-19 and our efforts to safeguard the community. With the latest orders from the Governor’s office, we are not sure when we will be able to reopen. The impact of the Museum being closed is tremendous, as a large amount of our revenue is tied to ticket sales, warbird rides, and event rentals. That income normally helps cover the costs of operating the Museum, including staffing, maintenance of aircraft, and building operational costs. We will continue to see the impact of the loss of this income for a long time.

To combat these challenges and protect the future of the Museum we have suspended all non-critical activities. Needless to say, the impact of this is devastating to many of our employees and docents. As we struggle with making those difficult decisions, we must do what we can to keep our 86,000 square feet facility operational and preserve valuable history for generations to come.

With the uncertainty of a possible reopening date and our continued costs, we request that you please consider donating online to support the future of the Museum in these uncertain times.

Our remaining staff is now currently focused on:

Maintenance of current aircraft under restoration and annual maintenance.
We have multiple aircraft that are currently under annual maintenance, a crucial element to the safety of flying aircraft. This work must continue for safety purposes.

Sharing content from our library
We are currently in the process of transferring recordings from previous educational presentations so that we can share those with our audience virtually on platforms such as YouTube and Facebook.

Virtual Experiences
Although limited in production resources at the moment, we are working on producing video content to share on our digital platforms.

If you are not on our email list, you can sign up here to stay informed on the latest developments at the museum.

Thank you to all who have donated and continue to donate. Your support is essential to keep history alive for future generations.

As we navigate these difficult times. We hope you, and you family stay safe and healthy. May God bless all of us, especially our first responders, anyone in the medical field who are on the front lines, and our great Nation.
